Bloodberry, Butterfly Sage

- Form: Multi-stemmed, rounded, evergreen shrub, reaching 6-8 ft.
- Leaves: Simple, alternate, dentate, scabrous
- Stem/Bark: Dark brown
- Flower: White, small, in globed clusters
- Fruit: Drupe, red, in clusters
- Comments: A related native species, Cordia sebestena, is also available in the trade for coastal areas but is a small tree form with large coarse leaves and showy orange flower clusters
